HI, I'M LEESHA.

Photographer, filmmaker, visual storyteller and founder of ONYX by Leesha.

I created ONYX because I was tired of seeing incredible brands, founders and community projects represented by visuals that felt generic, uninspired or disconnected from the impact they were making.

As a Black queer creative, representation, authenticity and storytelling sit at the heart of everything I do.

For over a decade, I've been helping brands, organisations and creatives tell their stories through powerful photography and video. Along the way, I've had the opportunity to create content for household names, independent businesses, cultural organisations and community-led projects across the UK.

My work has included photographing campaigns and events for brands such as Laura Ashley, Superdrug and Serendipity, alongside supporting countless founders, creatives and growing businesses with visual content that helps them show up confidently and connect with their audience.

My work has also been featured in publications including HELLO! Magazine, and I've been invited to share my experiences through podcasts, speaking opportunities and industry conversations around creativity, storytelling and representation.

Today, I work with founders, artists, organisations, events and culture-led brands across the UK, creating photography and video that doesn't just show what they do, but communicates why it matters.

Whether I'm documenting a community event, photographing a new product launch or creating content for a growing brand, my goal is always the same:

To create visuals that feel honest, intentional and impossible to ignore.
